Comedy Studies, Vol 11: No 1 (2020) – The academic journal Comedy Studies hosted a special issue on violent clowns, which saw 14 contributions that examine the comic appeal of violence in culture. The issue itself was highly esteemed for horror writers explicitly as well, as the journal included interviews with Will Elliot and Stephen Chiodo, well-known for their contributions of The Pylo Family Circus and Killer Klowns from Outer Space.
My contribution to the Comedy Studies journal was the short story The circus of eternals. This story sees a woman stumbling across a beautifully lit circus in the middle of nowhere and stops to uncover its mystery. The most interesting part is that this is based on a true story that actually happened to me!
