CANBERRA ZOMBIE WALK
The annual Canberra Zombie Walk has taken place every year since 2014, and this year is looking to be bigger and better than ever! In association with The Brain Foundation and Reload eSports, the Canberra Zombie Walk will begin at Regatta Point and follow a course through the city to Garema Place, where a stack of undead fun will continue. If you want to get zombified before you head off for the walk, Reload Bar is also offering makeup artists in their bar from 11 am to help get you read.

THE UNDEAD BEAUTY PAGEANT
Following the Canberra Zombie Walk comes the Undead Beauty Pageant, which is open to both men and women over 18 years of age. Contestants will be judged on a range of undead qualities, including your best undead look, your best shuffle down the catwalk, your zombie morals and your vision of the zombie future and how you plan to infect the world.

THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW
Amp up your Halloween antici…..pation… by going to watch The Rocky Horror Picture Show at Limelight Cinemas. The horror/musical/comedy classic has a traditional audience participation aspect that includes throwing toast and rice at the big screen, and getting up and doing your own version of the Time Warp, so if you aren’t in the mood to party but are keen to get a little bit silly, then this is the event for you!

MOOSEHEADS HALLOWEEN 2017
All roads lead to Mooseheads if you’re partying in Canberra, and the infamous bar is throwing an IT style Halloween party for those looking to float too. There will also be $5 Smirnoff Double Blacks, a fully transformed nightclub complete with special effects and scares galore and even prizes for best dressed on the night.

DAY OF THE DEAD FIESTA
If you want to keep the Halloween traditions going all week long (and why wouldn’t you?) then you will be pleased to know that the Ainslie Art Centre is hosting a Day of the Dead Fiesta in celebration of the Mexican tradition of Dia De Los Muertos. Seeped in Latin American flavour, the fiesta will include live music from local and interstate bands, DJs, art and cultural exhibitions, and even Lucha Libre – Mexican wrestling!

METAL FIESTA 13 – HALLOWEEN SPECIAL
If you’re keen to keep the Halloween celebrations coming, and love to get into the heavy side of Halloween, you can start early at The Basement in Belconnen for the Metal Fiesta 13 Halloween Special! Featuring 10 heavy metal acts on two stages, including bands such as The Levitation Hex, Segression, Our Last Enemy, Beast Impalor, Clarity of Chaos and Black Mountain, there will also be a special treat of a burlesque performance by The Velvet Vixens.

DISCO OF THE DEAD
Honestly, if you are doing the Canberra Zombie Walk you will be sorted for things to do on the Saturday before Halloween. Directly following the Undead Beauty Pageant comes the Disco of the Dead at Reload Bar, where the venue will be turned into a haunted house and opening it’s doors to other Halloween party goers. With special ghoulish drinks and DJ Black Temple on the decks, Reload is fast becoming THE destination for Halloween partiers.
